File contains primarily research requests and correspondence with state legislators and organizations for information, studies, or legal opinions. Additional correspondence concerns the legislative staff internship program; Illinois Commission on Intergovernmental Cooperation; and international relations. Much of the correspondence is between legislative council members and the research director. Also included are Legislative Council meeting minutes (August 8 and September 9, 1967); Council on the Diagnosis and Evaluation of Criminal Defendents minutes (1971); Council of State Governments minutes (March 1 and November 7, 1967); intergovernmental cooperation reports; council audit report from the Legislative Audit Commission (1970); Unified Cde of Corrections amendments; and Illinois Commission on Intergovernmental Cooperation budget (1971-1972).
